Privacy Policy

Updated October 27, 2026. This policy covers the Facemeo Android and iOS app, operated by Xie Xie.

Your camera and creations

Facemeo uses camera and optional microphone access to animate artwork and record your performance. Camera frames, recordings and saved creations are processed and stored on your device. Facemeo does not upload your face, photos, audio or videos to our servers or AI services. The app does not create a face identity profile. Pre-made artwork templates are downloaded with the app.

Exporting or sharing a creation sends a copy to the destination you choose. Those copies are outside Facemeo's local storage and are not removed when you delete your account.

Purchases without app sign-in and previous accounts

New users do not need a Facemeo account to purchase or restore access. RevenueCat creates an app-specific anonymous identifier; your store handles purchase authentication. Restore purchases using the original Apple App Store or Google Play account. Purchases do not transfer between Android and iOS, and local creations do not sync between devices.

Earlier versions offered Google or Apple sign-in through Firebase Authentication. Existing accounts and their purchase identity remain supported. Firebase may retain the account identifier, provider identity, and name or email provided at sign-in until you request deletion. Existing signed-in users can delete their previous account in the app; other previous users can contact support through our account-deletion page. We do not automatically delete previous account data during an update.

Optional usage analytics and crash reports

Starting with version 1.4.2, Firebase Analytics measures app sessions, gallery views, paywall views, creation saves and purchase or restore actions using an app-instance identifier. Analytics also derives approximate geographic information from network connections; Facemeo does not request GPS or precise location access. Firebase Crashlytics processes installation identifiers, device and operating-system information, app versions and crash diagnostics to help us fix failures. These services do not receive your photos, audio, creation names or login email from our app. We do not set an account user ID, collect advertising IDs or use these data for advertising. You can disable usage analytics and crash reports in Settings; restart the app after disabling to apply crash-reporting changes. This does not delete reports already received by Firebase.

Purchases

Apple or Google processes payments; Facemeo does not receive your full payment card information. RevenueCat processes your app user identifier, product and transaction information, purchase history, app/platform information and entitlement status to verify purchases, restore access, and report purchase and revenue analytics. We use these data for app functionality and purchase analytics, not advertising. Prices and currency are shown by your store before payment.

Account deletion and support

Our account service is hosted on Cloudflare. When you request account deletion, it verifies your recent Firebase sign-in and requests deletion of your Firebase account and associated RevenueCat customer data. It does not store your sign-in token or request body. Infrastructure providers may process network/security data to operate and protect their services.

Account information is retained while your account exists. You can request deletion through the app or our account-deletion page. Store operators may retain transaction records for legal, tax, security or payment obligations. Support emails are used to respond to your request and verify ownership where necessary; information required for an unresolved dispute or legal obligation may be retained for that purpose.

Your choices

You can revoke camera or microphone access in system settings, delete local works in the app, or clear the app's local data. Deleting the app does not delete your online account. Deleting an account does not automatically refund a purchase. Contact us for access, correction or deletion requests. Depending on your location, you may have additional privacy rights.

Service providers

Services may process data outside your country. See Firebase privacy, RevenueCat privacy, Cloudflare privacy, and the privacy policies of Apple or Google for their services. Facemeo does not include third-party advertising.
